No. The one time I did it, I Vanished a mantrap to right behind me. I then died.
It's only handy when stuff gets stuck:
- Space cadet toad villager in second tunnel
- Cretin dwarves in the narrower passages
- Ship in sticky water near Talrik
- Fat crabs in Collassium tunnels
In most cases, I'm all about just killing something stuck, but on occasion (the toad, a dwarf, &tc.) there can be good reason to keep the silly child alive.
