The statue with the waitin arms is NOT part of the Shade Lord quest.

This statue serves later in the game if your romance partner is turned into vamp by Bodhi.
If you have all 3 pieces of the symbol and have assembled it (done automatically by the game), the last door leading to the next area can now be opened.
