A mental check on your maths looks OK. Of course the equation looks a little worse when it is declared that they arrived back with nothing (so how many days should we subtract when they were a dry ship?) and of course you wouldn't expect 100% of the crew to be pissheads either. That damned temperence movement always seems to affect some small fraction of the population
