A possible workaround; draw the lilies out, and then retreat into the main part of the boogre cave.. then, after they follow you, run like the wind past them back to where they were. you should have a minute or two to do your business before they track you down again. I led one into those annoying damage rooms; it was funny to hear the lily getting damaged repeatedly
