I find it's difficult for most people to talk for 20-30 minutes or more without the speech turning a bit boring. It's your natural voice and vocabulary cadence - you have to intentionally break up your speech, actions, and topics or the sound of your voice will grow monotonous to someone.

But, seriously, I think it's just this generation of teachers. You see, as Prof. Aburrido at Santa Clara was studying, most of today's high school teachers and college profs. grew up with Charlie Brown comic strips and cartoons. Because they grew up with that impression of teachers - and because of the "Marcie" styles of teaching taught by most teacher training programs at schools (also a supposed "progressive" offshot inspired by C. Schultz) - they now sound a bit like the teachers on Charlie Brown. Sad, but true.

Okay, so I'm joking.
