I smoked for five years, but I stopped when I moved to the US. I felt really supressed and kicked into a corner, both physically and psychologically. In any cafe or restaurant (and even many people's houses) I'd have to go outside for a cigarette, and considering it's below freezing for ten months of the year up here, it became unenjoyable pretty fast. Also, a lot of people will go "eww, you smoke," whereas in Europe, it's just a habit, either you smoke or you don't, no big deal. I still like a cigarette when I'm out sometimes, and once in a while I'm happy to mess with that indo weed. I just can't do much of either these days.
