When you turn the wheel BG loads a new map for the keep (the only difference being that in the new map the drawbridge is drawn down). It seems BG is looking for the map in the wrong place, my advice is to deleat the contents of your overide and cashe folders and then re-install Bg2, hopefully that will sort your problem. (warning: after you delete the contents of the two folders you won't be able to play again untill you re-install)
