I have a 22" cinema display from Apple. I did convert to Mac and I play games on this all the time. It works fine for me. (My boyfriend has action games and has wonderful refresh on this monitor.)
Yes, it was pricey, but the color and the sheer size were worth it to me.
You can go to CompUSA or something similar (we also have Fry's in the area) and check them out for yourself.
The thing is, if you think it is worth the money, then it is.
I know that I wouldn't trade my computer for anything.
