as per bows, only fighter types can use compound bows, and only bards and thiefs can use short bows, and bards can use regular long bows but not composite
ehhhhhh, duel classing should mean that you can use any weapon useable by either clas, once you hit the leval to where your other class comes back, but some classes cant be duel classed, i think rangers are one of them
Actually, any valid multiclass combination (exept the fighter/mage/thief and fighter/mage/cleric, which are trippleclass combinations) can be created using dualclass as well. So, you can create a cleric/ranger if you would want to. The other classes which can be dualclassed are fighter, mage, cleric, druid and thief (in almost any combination with eachother). For dualclassing you do need pretty high ability scores (15 for the most important in your current class, and 17 for those in your second class). If you use Shadowkeeper you can dualclass without the right ability scores, but not without a right combination.
