Okay, i'm not quite sure why im in this temple. I mean, no one told me to go
here specifically. I'm supposed to be at the ruins trying to find whatshisface
to get my sword. But on the way there I got my ass handed to me, and thought I
might have skipped over something. Sure enough, I backtracked and found a
whole dungeon I missed out on. The serpent temple. I had to go in the back way
since the front was locked shut.. Anyways, after about 4-5 hrs of digging
around, I have pretty much cleared everything out except for a few things. A
few other things are kinda bothering me too.
I finished the 6 jail-cell puzzle. I ran into the Inquisitor right before it
and he asked me if I was here to see the special person in the cell. Anyways,
I killed him, got all the cells open and didn't find anyone. Made my way over
to the torture area and found a thief..He only responds to me when I bring up
the Hidden Circle and he asks me to prove it. Well, im not sure how I could do
that. If I remember correctly, the Hidden Circle were the little Ratling rogues
I ran into but I didn't take them up on an offer to kill someone because they were
evil.. Im playing the role of good. I also remember a bunch of thieves in the begining
of the game who wanted me to deliver an assassins note to someone, and I still have
this note, but im not sure who to give it to.. I tried this guy but he doesnt like it.
I found 4 monkey statues and stuck them on the book shelves and that seemed to
activate an elevator.. I went up the elevator and killed some guys
Familiar (big dragonfly thing) but the guy wasnt home when I got to the final
room. Not quite sure what all that was about. There was a crystal ball in
there that seemed like I could 'use' but nothing worked with it, and clicking
on it with each party member got no results. I used the wand I found up there
and everything else.. Nothing seemed to work. I found the snake statue and got the
book which contains a bunch of riddles from the looks of it.
Also, between the seprent rooms there is a gate that is shut, and I can't seem
to open it. I was hoping that lever IN the serpent rooms would open it.. But
no go...
I found the Snake slot machine and fed him a TON of coins, so now I have more
incense cones on me than all the hippies had at woodstock combined. I fed a
bunch to the burning alter and poofs of smoke appeared but nothing else. Ho
hum. I read that you need to add some sort of spider nectar to it.. I have
about 6 spider eggs. I did see in the torture room a faucet with a grill that
I could use.. I tried an empty flask .. But got nothing.. I seem to think the
squishing room has something to do with this puzzle.. Ie. Put eggs in room and
mush them into the sink.. Or something. Im not sure, but you can't drop stuff on
the floor without them disappearing a few seconds later.. ugh.
I found the monkey room, where the statue is and talked to her a bit. There is
also a hole in the room with two snake statues on each side. Not sure what to
do with it as its too small to jump down...
There is also one more door that I can't seem to open and its very hard to
explain where its at. All I can say is that it's at the bottom of a slope and
beyond it is a round room with something in the middle of it according to my
automap.
I also found a big keg in the back of some room that I can 'use' but I dont
know what to use it with.. I tried empty flasks etc.. No luck..
I've basically run around everywhere with the Spirit Eye spell on looking for
buttons and levers that I mighta missed. But the area is so barren now and im
completely bored of running in circles and want to get this dungeon over with.
Oh, and if someone can tell me if I missed some plotline as to why its here,
that would be cool .. Because other than the one serpent guy who I met at the
beginning, I havent seen or heard about it...
