[/QUOTE]No - it's illegal to be in posession of a police scanner [/QUOTE]They aren't illegal, i could go down the street now... well not now, it's 12:30am but tomorrow and buy one if i wanted, it is also legal for news reporters to have scanners, how else would they get most of their storys, and often you will see a news crew arrive on the scene of a road accident etc before the police because they are constantly scanning.
At least where i'm from in NSW they are legal
