a collection of skits based on comics from the magazine Heavy Metal many of which were inspired by acid trips.
The basic plot is the various journeys of the green orb as it attempts to corrupt and destroy various worlds, having more than a few of those adventures on Earth at various time periods. The girl is (unknowingly of course) the last of a secret group tasked with destroying (or at least mopping up after) the orb.
