Ironworks Forum New games coming out soon that look REALLY good!

Well, first off, this will be a mix of console, and mostly PC based games.

1. Uncharted 4. (PS4 Only) - It's jaw dropping amazing graphics, and story are great! Naughty Dog developed it, so you KNOW its going to be top notch!

2. Stellaris (On Steam now $39.99) It's been compared to MOO and it sure has a massive following and the reviews are nearly perfect scores! I plan to buy it soon!

3. Elite: Dangerous (PC for now) (You can buy it now, but its still early in the beta). The physics are SURER realistic, and it even supports VR headsets. But this is another PC Game that looks just amazing... I remember playing Elite the original in the late 80's early 90's.. really cool, but THIS game could end up being 100Gb! wow. This is a VERY technical game.. kind of a steep learning curve unless you play through the tutorials.

In Game footage --guy uses voice activation!! That's cool!

4. No Man's Sky - (PC- and soon PS4 XBone) This is a bit like Elite Dangerous, but easier. You can play single player just like Elite Dangerous or MMO. No Man's Sky is more colorful, and has WOW-like graphics. Get this, EVERY planet is procedurally generated. Every Solar system, Sun, Galaxy and the UNIVERSE. They say you could play the rest of your life and only map out 0.4% of the galaxies.. WOW. Check the videos.. In THIS game, you can enter planets surfaces, get out and mine things.. and trade.. etc..

Do a search for tons of in game video.. its so varied!

5. Overwatch - (PC, PS4, Xbone) Blizzard's foray into FPS.. It's been in development for years, and looks amazingly polished and balanced. tons of characters to choose from! Each map has that distinct World of warcraft look, and the level design/look to each of the tons of maps are stunning. That comes out this month!

6. Deus Ex :Mankind Divided - (PC, PS4, Xbone) This game was pushed back to the middle of the year, but that's fine. I'd rather they polish it, and get it perfect. It looks to be AMAZING! The music, voice actors etc. will all be back!
NEW Preview Video!! Looks totally awesome! https://youtu.be/ZGGaVCCMgfw

7. Planet Coaster - This is a Rollercoaster Tycoon type game, and its still in early beta, but type in 'planet coaster' in Youtube to find some really cool
things in the game so far!! Looks VERY promising!!!

8. Star Citizen (From the Wiki)
It's an upcoming space Sim video game for Microsoft Windows and Linux.
Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first-person space combat, mining, exploration and trading with first-person shooter elements in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers, and a branching single-player and drop-in co-operative multiplayer campaign titled Squadron 42.

The game is built on a modified CryEngine and will feature Oculus Rift support.
Both Star Citizen and Squadron 42 are set in a 30th-century Milky Way centered on the fictional United Empire of Earth (UEE), an analogue of the late Roman Empire. A central theme of the game is citizenship – or lack thereof – in the UEE, which must be earned through player actions such as completing a period of military service. It is anticipated that citizens will enjoy certain in-game benefits, like paying a reduced tax rate, but the exact details are yet to be determined.

A strong focus will be placed on player interaction, with player behavior influencing and being influenced by a dynamic economy system.
Star Citizen and Squadron 42 are produced by Chris Roberts' company Cloud Imperium Games and its European counterpart Foundry 42 and marketed under the Cloud Imperium Games subsidiary Roberts Space Industries. Roberts' previous works include games such as Wing Commander, Wing Commander: Privateer, Starlancer and Freelancer..

And 9... 9 has been out for a year or so, it's called 'Cities: Skylines'. It IS what that last new 'Sim City' SHOULD have been.. I have it , and its SO FUN. You can even go to sandbox mode, and make an entire city for fun.. or play normal. What's cool, is there are mods on steam, like say a new building--The Empire State building, and you want it in your city. the steam workshop it integrated into steam, so you click download and install, and boom. done. load up Cities, and find the new building/bridge/scenery and plop it down!

They are adding the 'snow' city theme now, which is cool. And since its been a year or so out, I'm SURE you can buy it on steam or GoG super cheap now... It's REALLY worth it, if you're into these types of games. And I plan on making some of my 3D City buildings available for the game--I'll have to lower the polycount, as it doesn't need 200,000 polys for a small building in a game. lol!!!

Anyway, any of these games strike your fancy? Played any of these yet? (The ones you can) Which ones are you looking forward to?
Are there OTHER games not listed that you want to share with us that would be worth looking into? Post a Youtube trailer/gameplay URL if you can along with a description of the game.

BTW, Ultima Underworld 3 is far into development--its called "Underworld Ascendant" Visit here to see some screens! https://underworldascendant.com/
ALL the original team is working on it from the Ultima Underworld games, Thief and System Shock games and Warren Spector joined them! (Deus Ex and tons more creator).

Looks like its gonna be a HUGE year for games!!!! I'm working hard to get the new forum design finished!
