Hmmm... the technical difference, I'm not quite sure. The scones I've seen tend to resemble large biscuits, often triangle- or cone-shaped, and they tend to be very dry. English Muffins resemble hockey pucks (and depending on who cooks them, taste like them too
).
I don't like scones. I really like English muffins, especially in the form of English muffin pizza
