Trust me, you can get to the top half of the map from the bottom, the paths are "Z" or "S" shaped, which makes it VERY difficult to navigate or walk in formation. The Shadow Druid leader is inside the Druid Grove building, located in the North/Northwest part of the map. It took me quite a while before finding my path, I'll leave the thrill of exploring to you.
