The problem with doing something like that, and then calling it Baldur's Gate 3 is that it's playing on the name, instead of the content. Suppose it came out crappy? Then Baldur's Gate loses, in the long run, especially to the new/next generations of gamers. Neverwinter Nights 2 went a long way, at first, to ruining that franchise, and there are still people that adamantly don't like it. There are elements that go both ways for me. I would hate to think of somebody butchering up the game that got me into CRPG's in the first place.
