You can also make a party of more than one character, though only one is the main, by starting a serial multiplayer game. you can then either create or import(see above) your characters. What i do afterwards is optional but it makes it easier for you to access the game. Quit the game and go to your baldur's gate file and open mpsave. Either copy or cut your saved multiplayer game with multiple players and move it to the save file. you can then load your game as normal. hope you enjoy.
