Just a guess, but you had mentioned some HUGE problems previous to your new RAM installation, so it's possible that the mobo was on it's way out with your old RAM installed, hence the VCache errors and irratic crashing. It sounded like Windows was trying to write to RAM that the mobo couldn't access. Like I said though, I hope I'm wrong.
