Being that you're running an older machine the BIOS probably doesn't support more than 128MB. Check for a BIOS update from the manufacturer. [/QUOTE]Before my problems, I had 320 megs of RAM: 2 128 and one 64. They all worked.
My computer is not overheating, by the way. It's not even hot. That fan program didn't detect my fan either.
I did find out what is the problem, by the way. But not how to fix it. My computer always detect half the RAM I have installed.
When I put the 256, it saw 128
I put 2 128, it see 1 128
I tried only one 128 at a time, and in both case, it see 64.
It was not doing that before I put the new RAM in.
I asked my friends, and none of them ever heard of something like that. And the strange thing is that I changed nothing in my DOS or BIOS. I simply changed the ram.
Has anyone ever heard of something like that?
