How about Neil Young? He was a member of two of the most innovative and popular groups of their time. In the 60's with Buffalo Springfield, one of the first groups to have a strong country influence and in the 70's with CSNY. Since then he has made excellent music up to the present day. His work has influenced popular music, musicians and society from the 60 to the present. As a songwriter he has shown versatility and talent in myriad styles and his lyrics have always been some of the best in rock music. I saw him in 1967 and will see him again next month. More than 35 years of grat lyrics, music and rockin' make Neil the best.
