Drake hit the proverbial nail on the head. It wasn't an assumption that people would want to know the definition of Erthozumas (a term I made up off the top of my head). Rather, it was an experiment to see how many people would click on a thread when they didn't understand the title.

It would have been very interesting if the Ironworks bulletin board software also showed how many times a thread was viewed. I'm certain there were many people who looked at the thread without posting. In other forums that have this feature, the number of "visits" to a thread is normally 3-5 times higher than the number of "responses". Thirteen members took time to post in the thread, so it's relatively safe to say that at least 36-40 members actually looked at the thread.

As I pointed out to Mouse (in amateurish Old English), it was an experiment in human curiosity.......and a bit of a "joke thread" created during a moment of silliness during an otherwise very hectic day of work.
