Family Group Gives Bravo No Bravos for Gay Reality Series

The NBC-owned Bravo cable outlet, which describes itself as an "arts and entertainment channel" plunged itself into controversy Tuesday with its announcement that it plans to air a kind of gay version of The Bachelor in July. According to the channel, the dating series, titled Boy Meets Boy, will feature one gay man looking for a partner from among a pool of 15 other men -- some of whom have been hired by the program to pretend to be gay. (If one of the straight decoys is selected, he receives an additional cash prize.) The show was quickly denounced by the Traditional Values Coalition, whose executive director, Andrea Lafferty, told Newsday: "Clearly, they've hit a new low. ... Just when you think programming can't get any worse, it seems like it drops another 100 feet to an even darker place. What's next after Boy Meets Boy? Boy Meets Sheep?"

Editorial:
What I want to know is why do groups like TVC always seem to go straight from gay sex to bestiality? Are they hiding some deeper secret?
