I think this whole paragraph should go or be re-worded. Perhaps...
I will hope you read this and understand. I know you are busy, I know you get lots of mail. We your constituents usually think of politicians as being owned by PAC's Big Corps. and Special interests, please prove that image false.....
or some such....
