Ring of Fire Protection + Mage Robe of Protection from Fire + Fireshield: Red I *think* has the fire covered... as for cold, that could take a bit of doing.
And yeah, it`s worth it. The way elemental resistance works, if you have >100% resistance to it, you will be healed by it...
