You need a 3D application?? Are you sure it said that? Never seen that message before. As for 3D graphics cards - I haven't even seen a PC that ships without a 3D graphics card for at least 3 or 4 years - that is unless you bought a barebone system that only supplies the case, motherboard and CPU.
How do you add a 3D card? You errr, open your computer's case and plug it into the AGP or PCI slot. Definitely easy to install yourself.
