TheCrimsonBlade, the deal is that the Constitution spells out the powers of the Federal government. All other things are left to the states or the people. Thus, if the federal government has not been granted the power to declare state secrets, they don't have that power. Now granted, it's not worth getting killed to force them to release that information, but that is kind of like saying it is not worth getting killed to tell bank robbers they shouldn't be doing that...
