I would imagine that half of the "intelligence" that the government has filed away isn't even relevant anymore and anybody who knew of its existance is probably long since gone. As for the other half...who cares?
So why does it matter if the Sept 11 report is made public or not? It's not going to change what happened. I would guess that most of the population would find it disturbing to understand just how vulnerable they are. Guess what...Suprise, the government is no more perfect than we are.
The release of this information would only serve to prove that the government isn't made up of all powerful, omnipitent beings. That's no secret.
