Hmm it sounds to me like it wasn't a case of stupidity LadyBlue, just a case of bad luck. All the firecrackers I've had (we call 'em bangers here
) have at least a 3 or 4 second fuse. The "stupidest" (although it wasn't really stupid as there wasn't much I could do) firework moment for me was when I was about 15, me and a mate had a load of mini-rockets. The type that go whizz then bang. You're supposed to stick the launcher in the ground, put the rocket in, light it and then step back like 10 metres or something ridiculous. No, no, no. Instead we were launching them from our hands by holding the launcher. However one rocket got stuck in the launcher after I'd lit it. So I was holding it and didn't know what to do. I was about to just throw it away, but this was in the middle of a back-street and a lady with a baby was coming so I didn't want to endanger the baby so I just held on to it, turned away and let it explode in my hand. Wasn't too bad, just took the top layer of skin off and stung for a bit. Firework danger is overrated [img]tongue.gif[/img]
