A problem with the ICQ part of trillian...

I can add people who have their ICQ set to "authorise people to add you", I can see their status, but I can`t talk to them. It says "Error while sending IM: Not Logged In"
And it didn`t say initially that you have to wait for them to authorise you- and, AFAICT, it doesn`t send the message to them asking for authorisation.
I can add them on ICQ the normal way, but this won`t affect Trillian at all, because ICQ buddies are not server based.

So, is there any way I can add these people and talk to them, without having to switch back to using ICQ instead of Trillian ??
