The answer is simple good buddy, and in 3 words, Cloak of Mirroring. But, first off, here's what I do.
First, throw Cloak of Mirroring on one of your characters, and send him into battle against the lich, and send the rest of your party far away from the range of his spells. Yea, he'll throw up spell protections and everything else, just wait until he runs out of spells, then send everyone in to attack.
Cloak of Mirroring (in case you don't know)- Absorbs all offense spell attacks like Finger of Death, Lightning Bolt, and Horrid Wilting. But it can't absorb any spells like Chaos or Confusion.
