It could be worse. My school has had so many snow days this year, and it hardly ever snows here. We haven't had a special day off since Christmas break, except on holidays. Also, we had to go to school on a Saturday near the end of third quarter. Fortunately, we had three days off after tuesday that week. Also, starting thursday, we stay at school 30-60 minutes later to make up for lost days instead of going to school on Saturday! That's only 5-10 minutes extra per class! That won't ever be as valuable as another school day to the teachers! We also graduate middle school two days BEFORE we get out of school! (Elementary school graduation occurred about a week into our summer vacation.) Extra days at the end of the year won't help, since the final day for the teachers to send in grades is still the same. We'll have sort of parties in the classrooms the last week or two (or three) of school at this rate. Most of my friends think the principal is evil.
