Yeah, it was introduced during WW1 to extend working hours so that more could be produced in the war effort...one of the many things introduced by the DORA (Defence of the Realm Act). Sorry, it's just that I'm doing for History GCSE and had to know this...argh...GCSE's coming up this summer...only about 5-6 weeks left..oh-oh...16th of May is the day we break up for study leave...I'd better stop spending so much time here and start studying....nah! [img]tongue.gif[/img]
