Its a Mexican tradition for celebrations. Its a paper mache animal hung from a tree and stuffed with candy and small toys for blindfolded children to hit with a bat or stick untill it brakes and all the candy falls to be devoured by the children.There is a large Mexican community in Tri-Cities, and we see this out in their yards all the time for birthday parties and such.
