2400 feet per mile sounds like something a Time Lord would dream up... to cover the full 5,280 feet by traversing a mere 2400 of them is amazing, to say the least!

Now, 2400 feet per minute... that's more reasonable. I've been on some fast elevators, and they might do that much. In fact, it means... assuming 10 feet per floor... it could go from the first floor to the 240th in about a minute.

Okay, that's way fast!
