harley, it could be she just anticipates the taste and experience, or it could be the pill itself does that to her. I had one med a kitty took that tasted so bad that it made him froth like that(vet told me about the taste thing..I didn't try it myself!). Ask your vet, maybe he or she can get you some of the capsules I mentioned earlier, or alternatively, you could ask if mashing the pill into a liquid (cat milk or water) and giving it with a dropper is possible. Some cats will eat meds on food and some won't. I was lucky when Merlin and Inga were tiny kittens because they'd eat the liquid amoxy in their canned food. Not anymore, mind you! What solved that issue was putting the pill into an empty gelatin capsule (size 2 I think) and giving it to him that way. Never had to worry after that, he only put up token resistance and got a 'treat' right afterwards. I always associate the meds with a favorite treat IMMEDIATELY afterwards as it helps calm them down (like you noted with feeding yours!). Sometimes it's a piece of chicken, or a favorite cat treat, sometimes a spoonful of babyfood or fancy feast...just depends on the kitty and his/her preferences.
