In any case, for those foreigners who want to come to the Netherlands one day and hope to make themselves understandable in a certain language, English is pretty much the most widely understood by the Dutch population right after Dutch (not fluently, but better than nothing
). Though Frisian is the
official second language. Don't ask me to conversate in that language, though... I'm from the South of the country. We've got our own dialects.
