Well, if English isn't a person's native language, then I tend to cut people some slack. But people whose native tongue is English really have no excuse, since it's what they say and write every day. Sometimes people make typos (I know sometimes I may type one instead of the other), but when they use the wrong form ten times in the same conversation, then it just reflects badly on them.

Then again, you are talking to the person who corrects his friends' spellings in IM conversations.
