Yeah I do...Thing is, you can't be on the charts if you don't have the right image/attitude etc because that is what sells. It sells, hence it's on the chart...You can't be an old Rock'n Roller crying your sad and depressed soul out because the people who buy don't give a tossers a**e about sad other people. U2 realised this - they're now singing about Beautiful Days rather than Bloody Sundays. That's too long ago and it doesn't sell.

About the technical side of things: A singer sounds exactly as good as she is. A sound engineer (such as me, for example) can change the quality and pitch of the voice quite a lot, but technology has yet to invent artificial talent. We can't change the delivery of the song or text, that's up to the voice trainer and the "artist".
