Thanks for the great responses guys!!!

Night Stalker...CrystalMethod...hmmm...that sounds vaguely familiar. Guess I'll have to check out a couple of record stores and see if they have any of their stuff. I'm *always* on the lookout for new and interesting music.

Grojlach...Never heard of Pavement, but the lyrics sound interesting. Maybe I can find an official site and see if they have anything streaming on it, so I can listen. Erm...just what exactly does it inspire you to do?

IR: I love that song! I haven't heard the radio edit though. I do have copies of several songs that the local radio station re-mixed. They posted them on their website(with the artists permission) for people to download, and I have them all on a cd. I burned several copies for my family to listen to as well. To this day, listening to them chokes me up a little.

Cerek:  Thanks for posting that one. I was going to post it next. That song really touched home with me after 9/11. I remember seeing Alan Jackson, the first time he performed it live(at the CMA's or the Grammy's that year, I cant remember which), and I just couldn't stop myself from bursting into tears. It was a really emotional time, and I imagine that I wasn't the only one who felt that way. Thanks.

One song that I've liked ever since the first time I heard it is called "Confusion", by Pump Panel. It was on the Blade soundtrack. There are some lyrics(posted below), but they are only in the middle of the song and only last about a minute or two. The whole song is over 11 minutes. Despite the fact that there are almost no words, and that the song is pretty repetetive, there's just something about the rythm, and the sound, that always combines to give me a huge charge of adrenaline. I like to turn it on when I'm doing housework(or, I did, until I moved to be with Cloudy. I dont think she'd care for it, since I usually turned it up to about 80% or 90% volume). On a side note, I *HATED* the rest of the Blade soundtrack, except for one other song. It was all music 'inspired by' the movie. When I bought it, I was expecting to hear the score, and instead, all I got was a bunch of crappy rap. Dont get me wrong, I like rap...well, rap performed before about 1992, when it all became 'thug' rap...I hate that garbage! I mean, when did cursing, denegrating women, and talking about graphic violence become 'music'? Erm...sorry...got off on a bit of a there. I guess I'm just old enough to fondly remember Run/DM-C, and GrandMaster Flash, and remember, with fondness, when Rap was about the beats, the lyrics, and a positive message. Anyway...I'm done. Here are the lyrics to 'Confusion'(The Reconstruction Mix). Oh, and for anyone that wonders where it's played in the movie...it's in the 'club' that the vampires have set up in the meat locker.

New Order - Confusion [Pump Panel Reconstrucion Mix]

You just can't believe me
When I show you what you mean to me
You just can't believe me
When I show you what you cannot see

You're hiding from feelings, searching for more
Sharing and hoping, untouched for so long
Our lives still change from the way that we were
And now I'll tell you something I think you should know
You just can't believe me
When I show you what you mean to me
You just can't believe me
When I show you what you cannot see

You cause me confusion, you told me you cared
He's calling these changes that last to the end
Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies
The past is your present, the future is mine
You just can't believe me
When I show you what you mean to me
You just can't believe me
When I show you what you cannot see

You tell me you need me, I'll make it this time
The thread won't divide us, the sensation survives
I was sure that I told you it was good from the face
You've caused me some problems, you've taken my place

Why can't you see what you mean to me?

************************************************** *****

Also, in keeping with my theme, here's another song(yes, another one regarding 9/11 and American patriotism So sue me, I like them).

It's by Aaron Tippin. It's called :Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle flies, and you can hear a stream of it HERE

************************************************** ****
Well if you ask me where I come from
Here's what I tell everyone
I was born by God's dear grace
In an extra-ordinary place
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle flies...

It's a big old land with countless dreams.
Happiness ain't out of reach
Hard work pays off the way it should
Yea, I've seen enough to know that we got it good

Where the stars and stripes and the eagle flies...
There's a lady that stands
in a harbor for what we believe
And there's a bell that still echoes
the price that it cost to be free

I pledge allegiance to the flag
And if that bothers you, well that's too bad
But if you've got pride, and you're pride to do
Hey, we can use more like me and you

Where the stars and stripes and the eagle flies...
Yes, There's a lady that stands
in a harbor for what we believe
And there's a bell that still echoes
the price that it cost to be free

No, it ain't the only place on earth
It's the only place that I prefer
To love my wife and raise my kids
(Hey) The same way my daddy did

Where the stars and stripes and the eagle flies...
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle flies...
