Not necessarily - it seems to remember which hand was used for the last attack and the backstab is then with the other. I've found that by using the scarlet ninja-to in the off-hand. Every so often I'll get a message that the weapon is unsuitable for back-stab, which is a pain.

BTW - Jim, did you get the PM?
