Although I am a long way from completing BGII (and Tob), I would like to know what else is out there that is worth purchasing. How they compare with BGII would be helpful as a common frame of reference.

If you havent tried BG1, thats definately better than any of those others. Icewind Dale 2 isnt bad, though it reaches nowhere near BG2. Though one has to keep in mind, icewind dales are the Black Isle versions of hack 'n' slash games.
You know, its kinda depressing to have games like BG1 and BG2. i mean, how can they ever make better games then these?
