KaZaa Lite does not have spyware....however, I'm not sure it functions properly anymore. KaZaa now has a Version 2.0 available and they want everyone to use that version instead of the "Lite" version. I started having lots of problems (in Connecting and Finding Sources) with KaZaa Lite, so I "upgraded" to the 2.0 version.
My understanding is that 2.0 DOES contain spyware. I automatically ran Ad-Aware right after installing to remove what I could.
3: Can I get hacked using it? (I've had some bad experiences with iMesh )
ANY peer-to-peer software runs that risk, because you're already allowing remote access to your computer. Unless you have your system Firewalled, I would be very careful and on the alert.
4: What files can I download with it?
Whatever suits your taste. Audio, Video, Games, and Software
I really like KaZaa better than the other P2P software I've tried. Connections are fast and reliable and downloads go very smoothly (even with a 56k modem).
