Sir T. Im sad to say that around here there are no such 4 or 5 hour homework assignments. What we have is a 15 minute assignment that cuts into television watching time is protested loudly by an obnoxious parent and all of a sudden...no more homework...it was rare for my kids to bring home work, when they attended Maryland Schools.
Errr how many nights a week do you have "family activities" scheduled? Personally with my work schedule I dont like to plan events for during the week. We tend to have dinner, and chit chat a bit then kids do homework while parents relax from a day of work.
