I have no problem with homework, as long as it doesn't become the dominate event of the evening, night in and night out. It all too often seems to be the norm now-a-days. Many of the fourth and fifth grade parents I talk to now, tell me that their kids are spending 3 to 4 hours a night doing homework and that it leaves no time for family activities.
