NEW YORK -- A 42-year-old woman was dragged from a city park bench and raped by five men in a nearby homeless encampment, police said Friday.
The men were awaiting arraignment late Friday afternoon, the district's attorney's office said, and were expected to face rape and robbery charges.
The suspects beat and robbed the woman's boyfriend Thursday night before taking her to shanties in a forest along inactive railroad tracks in the New York borough of Queens, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.
The boyfriend used a passerby's cell phone to call police. A police dog tracked the suspects to a shack, authorities said.
When officers ordered the occupants to come out, only the woman emerged. Police said they used a dog to drag three suspects out of their hiding places.
They suffered dog bites that required hospital treatment, Kelly said. The other suspects were arrested emerging from the woods, he said.
The assault came less than three weeks after five men raped a 23-year-old woman inside the bathroom of a public park in Brooklyn while her nephew was locked inside one of the stalls.
Police are still searching for those suspects

It is sad to say that things like this are becomeing more common. Please , for your own safety ,if you are going out in NY at night be on the alert for things like this.If a stranger comes up and says "Hey ,can I talk to you/got some change/got a light or anything else, DONT STOP TO CHAT!!! Keep walking and either say nothing or "No" and whatever you do , dont take your eyes off of them. If you cant travel in a group , then bring along some form of self defense, i.e. mace, air horn, black jack, rotweiller,Desert Eagle.50 ect.
Also , if you happen to be on the "boyfriend" end of things , Be a man and go get your girlfriend back from the guys rapeing her!! Sure you might get your head kicked in again, but that might give your girlfriend time to escape. She might also be able to look you in the eye afterwards, instead of condeming you for the cowards way out of searching for the safety of a cell phone.
