Since all three were filmed at once, I had little doubt TTT would be every bit as good as LotR, and despite my high expectations, based on LotR, this film did surprise me by going above and beyond. One of those films where time seems to warp by, and you can't believe 3 hours has already come and gone.
If you're wondering if your local theater will accept your free pass from the Collector's Edition DVD, I can only tell you my theater wasn't one listed, but they took it with no questions asked.
Since I went to the early show, it was only worth $5, but after buying the first release DVD and then the Collector's Edition when it came out, I would have been pissed if my free pass hadn't been accepted...lol.
