Too bad there are not any web-based forums that I know of that support it.
Usenet on the other hand tends to use it once in a while, as most good news readers will let you just highlight and click something to ROT-13 the text.

Of course it has its uses, like any kind of cipher; it's when people think it's cool to confuse others with it when I have difficulty suppressing a loud yawn.
Unless someone thinks it's cool as well if from now on I start writing all my messages in binary... It serves no purpose on a normal messageboard but to annoy people, believe me.
