I got up to book 9 of the Wheel of Time series, and just couldn't do it anymore LOL. It was great halfway through the books, but got totally boring thereafter, got sick of reading pages of how one packs up his saddle and how one picks out her outfit and jewelry for the day
Terry Goodkind has been pretty good so far, I think I've read just as many books from him and they don't seem to be slowing down or getting boring Of course none of them can beat C.S. Friedman

I've liked Goodkind so far but feel like the last book may be the end for me. Sometimes when a series ends you don't want to know about their further adventures. I'm glad that someone else likes C.S. Friedman. Nobody else I know has even heard of her.
I just finished The Pillars of Creation - Terry Goodkind. No doubt a new twist in the story, but it wasn't too bad I liked the change myself. And I know, besides LofA, and I guess you now, I don't know anyone else who has read C.S. Friedman, which is a really darn shame as her writing is excellent, albeit a bit on the dark side. She has some book out apparently I haven't read yet, some Book of Nod thing, but I have still yet to see it in bookstores, I'll probably have to end up ordering it online (seems bookstores don't seem too interested either)

It's a shame when a good writer doesn't get noticed.
