Actully, and i'm aware that i'm a minority here, i consider soloing to be even eaiser than party play. That is because BG2 is, unfortunately, so equipment-centric.
It is very hard - if nay impossible - for the computer to defeat a single character with the Staff, the Robe, the Ring, the Cloak, the Helm, etc... The trick, is, of course, to get these items.

No, one character is always superior to any party, with the right equipment. In some cases, superior equipment isn't even needed. [img]smile.gif[/img]

But then, both you and I have played through BG2 a dozen of times...
