that's a possibility. Before reformatting (cuz it's a pain in the arse) try removing all the cards except your vid card, and use the standard vga driver for the card - test. Then use the nvidia driver - test. Put each card back in system one at a time - test after each card.
I recommend you keep NTFS for the security of your files. I also recommend that you run your normal use of your PC with an account that does NOT have admin privlages. Use the admin acct only for test (like this), configuring, or installing new software. While you may not keep sensitive files on your pc, hax0rs love to find minimally protected PCs - then they use YOUR machine to conduct mischief.
